I have spent $300,000 so far in our CAF champions league campaign – Mr. Moses Parker

Medeama SC bankroller, Moses Armah Parker has revealed that, they have splashed a whooping $300,000 in the four games played so far in their CAF Champions League qualifying round.

The Ghanaian champions over the weekend made history by securing their first ever Champions League group stage spot, with the closest they have ever come in CAF competitions being the money zone of the Confederations Cup in 2016.

The Mauves and Yellows played two sides in the qualifying round, having taken out Nigerian side Remo Stars FC in the first round and just recently completed a 4-3 on aggregate win over Guinean fold Horoya AC in final stage.

In an interview, the enterprising business mogul despite earning $700,000 from CAF as qualification bonus, says they spent $300,000 in the prelims and will still need additional monetary support in order to have a good campaign.

“We spent USD300,000 in our two games against Remo Stars and Horaya AC to qualify for the group stage of this year’s CAF Champions League.”

Medeama SC are currently waiting for the draw which will be held this Friday and have been placed in pot four and could have one of Al Ahly, Wydad AC, Esperance de Tunis and Mamelodi Sundowns in their group.
