Real Sociedad talks for Donny Van de Beek of Manchester United
Spanish club Real Sociedad have opened talks with Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek over a possible transfer.
The Dutch midfielder joined Manchester United from Ajax for an initial £35m three years ago.
The 26 year-old has endured a frustrating spell at Old Trafford since signing and not even the arrival of his former Ajax boss Erik ten Hag last year has marked a change in fortunes.
He is one of many fringe players expected to leave Manchester United as Eric Ten Hag attempts to overhaul the squad.
A thigh injury to goalkeeper Dean Henderson has hampered a proposed move to Nottingham Forest where he spent last season on loan. The goalkeeper has unsurprisingly not featured in any of United’s preseason games.
Center back Eric Bailly has been asked to find a new club after being declared surplus to requirements.
Meanwhile, Fulham are thought to be interested in Brazil midfielder Fred, although they are yet to make a formal offer.
