Nations FC have moved top of the Division One Zone Two League table after winning a protest against Skyy FC, according to reports.
Skyy who were top of the table lost their place after they suffered a six points deduction for using an unqualified player in their Division One Zone Two Gameweek 18 clash against Nations FC at the St. Martins Anglican School Park in Daboase which ended 3-0 in their favor.
Nations FC protested against Skyy for fielding an unqualified player by name Victor Hagan/Victor Mends on the grounds of double registration. Per the protest, the player does not have the required Certification for a change in a name.
Nations FC also accused the player for using different FIFA ID Numbers (10FLEL5) and (1GEDWQ0), thus making him ineligible, a contravention of Article 33 of the Ghana Football Association Division One League Regulations.
Per reports, Nations FC have succeeded with the protest. In effect, they’ve been awarded 3 points and 3 goals, while Skyy have suffered a 6 points deduction.
The latest development if confirmed to be true will see Nations FC move top of the Zone Two League table with 54 points, while Skyy will drop to second place with 50 points.
